VRDNT Farm is a bio-intensive vegetable farm in Bastrop TX (45min E of Austin) We believe relocalizing agriculture is a radical step towards improving our individual health and community resilience. VRDNT’s mission is simple: to nourish the land and our local community by growing high quality, nutrient dense, super-fresh veggies. Owner Becky Hume spent over 10 years working on Organic and sustainable farms before taking the leap to start her own in 2019 (that’s me!). We operate a year-round CSA (subscription) program as well as selling at Farmer’s Markets and to local wholesalers. In our sixth year, we are hitting our stride and continuing to expand our production and products. We’re looking for folks to join our team who share a passion for growing food and a willingness to work hard as a team.
Farm Assistant (Thurs-Sat)
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Farm Assistant to join our team for three days a week (Thursday-Saturday). If you enjoy working outdoors, appreciate fresh produce and flowers, and don't mind a bit of physical work, this could be the perfect job for you!
What you'll be doing:

Thursday (8 am - 4 pm): You'll be getting your hands dirty with various farm tasks, including planting, weeding, and harvesting beautiful flowers.

Friday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm): Mornings will be spent working alongside volunteers on light farm tasks. In the afternoon, you'll help pack our weekly CSA shares for our members.

Saturday (7 am - 3 pm): You'll be hitting the road in our delivery van, bringing fresh, local produce to our CSA pickup locations in Austin.
What you'll need:

A clean driving record (essential for deliveries)

The ability to work outdoors in all types of weather (think sunshine, rain, and everything in between)

The ability to lift and carry up to 30+ lbs
Bonus points for:

Previous experience working on a vegetable farm

Experience making flower bouquets
