VRDNT Farm is a bio-intensive vegetable farm in Bastrop TX (45min E of Austin) We believe relocalizing agriculture is a radical step towards improving our individual health and community resilience. VRDNT’s mission is simple: to nourish the land and our local community by growing high quality, nutrient dense, super-fresh veggies. Owner Becky Hume spent over 10 years working on Organic and sustainable farms before taking the leap to start her own in 2019 (that’s me!). We operate a year-round CSA (subscription) program as well as selling at Farmer’s Markets and to local wholesalers. In our fourth year, we are hitting our stride and continuing to expand our production and products. We’re looking for folks to join our team, who share a passion for growing food, and a willingness to work hard as a team.
FULL TIME
Farm Assistant (Wed-Sun 8-4:30)
Despite the bland title, this is an awesome opportunity for anyone looking to learn the ropes of farming. This position will work with our harvest team 2 days a week and our grower 1 day a week and will assist in making deliveries and at the farmers market 1 day/ week. Responsibilities will include, picking, washing, and packing vegetables with the harvest team. Planting, hoeing, and trellising will be common tasks while working with our grower. Helping at the farmers market will include setting up, maintaining vegetable display , and checking out customers. Hours are generally 8-4:30 but may vary seasonally. Employment is full-time/year-round. Pay $17-19/hr based on experience.

PART TIME
Harvest & Weeding Help (flexible)
Peak season calls for a few extra hands. We need help weeding, and harvesting crops like tomatoes and potatoes. We can be flexible with your schedule. Employment is seasonal. Pay $16-17/hr based on experience.
